Hey there, my beautiful souls. If you've been with me for a while, welcome back! And if you’re new, I’m so glad you found our community. Today we’re discussing something that’s important to me: the undeniable power of the human spirit. This conversation is for anyone who’s felt a little lost, a little broken, but still hopeful. You ready?
Picture yourself on the edge of the cliff. Below you is a long, dark hole filled with past traumas, hurtful experiences, failures, and fears. It’s easy to think that with one false move, you’re going to tumble down and be lost forever. But that’s not the whole truth here, my friends. This abyss? It’s not a pit you’ll inevitably fall into. Instead, it’s a huge cavern for you to soar across. The trick is to realize that you’ve got wings. You’ve always had them. You just have to trust that you can learn how to use them.
Now, I don’t say this lightly: I’ve been there. I know that deep hole. We all have our moments of vulnerability, but the first step towards lifting ourselves out of the darkness is acknowledging the power we have over our own stories. If you’re listening to this episode and wondering, “Is Joset talking about me?”, the answer is yes! Because resilience isn’t just my story or your neighbor’s story. It’s our collective narrative.
Let’s talk about boundaries, shall we? You see, boundaries define the path of our life saga. When we draw lines, when we tell the world, “This is my space. Walk carefully”, we’re taking control of our story. We’re choosing which characters deserve to be part of it. It’s like declaring, “My emotional wellbeing is not a playground for anybody who passes by and feels like enjoying the swingset.” Sometimes we find ourselves apologizing for things we didn’t even do. Someone else crossing our boundaries triggers a self-inflicted wound. We didn’t make the mistake, but sometimes we bear the punishment. Hear me clearly on this: You are not to blame for someone else’s behavior. It’s time to take back that power, to reclaim our narrative.
Victimhood. That’s a label that gets thrown around, often by those who are looking from the outside. But let me tell you something about labels. They only stick if you let them. You’re not just a chapter in someone else’s story. You’re the protagonist in your own epic tale. Swap out “victim” for “survivor” because that’s what you are! You’ve gotten through some rough storms that would have sunk lesser ships. So say it with me, loud and clear: “I am a survivor!” Feel that? That’s not just words echoing in the void. That’s your very own essence vibrating with truth. When you say, “I am a survivor”, you’re not just talking to yourself or those around you. You’re sending a message to the universe and let me tell you, the universe listens. Once you own that truth, I mean truly make it yours, the world shifts. Suddenly, you’re not just surviving, you're thriving. So believe it with every fiber of your being. Step out into the world not just as someone who got through it, but someone who came out on the other side stronger, wiser, and more in tune with our true selves. When we take time to remember and tap into our inherent strength, the path will open for us, one step at a time. We might trip over our feet, but we never truly fall. Our struggles are just chapters in an adventure story that is still being written. And the pen, my dear friends, is in your hands.
